INBODY

BODY COMPOSiTION ANALYSIS

Your first inBody reading at Live Oak Strength will include a 15 minute consultation with one of our personal trainers. The reading itself will take less than a minute, but we want to ensure we sit down with you to review your results and answer any of your questions. After your first reading, active members at Live Oak Strength have access to use the inBody on their own (see memberships for details on usage). Please download the inBody App to view your results. The inBody examines the composition of your body (water, protein, minerals and fat). Fat, muscles and blood are primarily made up of water. It will also reveal how much muscle mass you have in each individual extremity as well as your trunk.

Doing a reading once a month can provide crucial information about how to best plan and execute a health promoting exercise and nutrition lifestyle, and how to safely reach your fitness goals. Your metrics are saved to your account and we will be able to track changes in your body composition from one test to the next. Our team's collective years of experience paired with the data the inBody 570 provides will set you up for success in reaching your healthiest body composition.

Please follow these guidelines to ensure accurate results.

  • Ensure you are hydrated

  • Get a good nights rest

  • Refrain from eating or drinking 3 hours prior (water is okay up to an hour beforehand)

  • Use the restroom before your appointment

  • Stand upright for 5 minutes before test

  • Do not drink alcohol or consume caffeine 12 hours prior

  • Do not participate in any excessive physical activity 24 hours prior

  • Do not wear lotion/ointment on your hands or feet

  • Do not take a hot shower or sauna beforehand

  • Wear comfortable clothing (workout clothing, sweat pants or shorts and a t-shirt)

  • Remove all metal rings, necklaces and other metal, wallets, belt and keys etc.

  • Do your InBody tests at the same time and day of the week (doing tests at different points in the day can skew the data as water levels fluctuated from morning to night)

  • Note: You may take any medication(s) on the day of the test as needed

We want you to test and retest with as many variables the same each and every time to ensure we are getting accurate readings (comparing apples to apples so to speak).

Doing an InBody Reading is not recommended for:

  • Individuals with electronic medical devices (i.e. pacemaker) or other metallic supports

  • Women who are pregnant

  • Women who are menstruating
